Rob Aitchison currently runs a company that advises companies on how AI and Blockchain technology can be applied to their business with a focus on practical application development and secure delivery. He enjoys strong ties with several universities and start-ups and has a number of projects in development, including the application of AI for assisting disabled travellers. A keen communicator he is also a leadership training facilitator with a leading global management training company. Prior to starting his own business Rob worked in a variety of European and global roles from research science to corporate sales and product development.
As a member of the citizen taskforce he is keen to understand how the public understanding of AI will be shaped by government legislation and communications. This is especially relevant as Deep Learning technologies are currently driving job growth. However, the acquisition of data is highly controversial and increasingly socially significant.
Rob is a Member of Institute of Engineering and Technology and (MIET). He holds a BSc in Physics and an MSc in Behavioural science. In his spare time, he enjoys writing professionally; speaking at events including charity functions and cycling in the Surrey hills.
